A New Place to Cool Off, Play, and Gather in Tampa

Located in Tampa, Florida, Kings Forest Park is a five-acre Hillsborough County park offering free community access to recreation, including a basketball court, an open field, a playground, and a splash pad. With the addition of Kings Forest Splash Pad, this public park splash pad now gives families a colorful, refreshing destination for outdoor play, creating a new space for children to cool off, explore, and enjoy active fun close to home.

The new Tampa splash pad was designed with multiple water spray features, shade structures, fencing, synthetic turf, and slip-resistant splash pad surfacing to create a welcoming play environment for the surrounding community. Life Floor Studio designed the splash pad surface using a layered palette of Aqua, Aviator, Ocean, Seafoam, and Turquoise, bringing movement, depth, and bright aquatic energy to the space.

Designed for Everyday Community Play

As a high-use community splash pad, Kings Forest needed aquatic safety surfacing that could support daily use while enhancing comfort, safety, and visual appeal. Life Floor’s 3/8” Ripple 2.0 in our Hexagon shape provides a cushioned, slip-resistant surface specifically designed for wet environments, helping create a safer and more enjoyable experience for children and families.

The result is a vibrant aquatic play space that feels both playful and practical, offering a durable water play surfacing solution for a public park amenity designed for everyday community use.

Built with Trusted Installation Expertise

Baynum Amusement Solutions, a Life Floor Registered Aquatic Partner, installed the 1,263-square-foot splash pad surface in June 2025. Their experience with aquatic environments helped bring the Life Floor Studio design to life with a clean, professional installation built for long-term performance.

Together, Hillsborough County, Life Floor Studio, and Baynum Amusement Solutions helped transform Kings Forest Park with a colorful new splash pad that supports safer play, community connection, and joyful summer memories in Tampa.
