Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex

To the southwest of London, located in Surrey is the expansive Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex. This full service centre offers programming for all ages from ice hockey and bowling to gymnastics and aquatics, which means there’s a wide variety of opportunities for wellness and fun.

The aquatics program is zoned for different activities and includes a competitive lane pool, a leisure pool, an inflatable obstacle challenge course, and a toddler splash pad where Life Floor is now featured in a bright hexagonal design. An adjoining walkway is also surfaced with Life Floor in a complementary blue-toned square pattern.

Hippo Leisure expertly installed the Life Floor surfacing. Based in Plymouth, they proudly serve the UK and have future capability to support surrounding European countries.

Prior to Life Floor, the toddler splash pad was surfaced with a pour-in-place rubber material (pictured below). This porous product was difficult to clean, and repair maintenance can prove difficult since the alternative product’s patches of newly poured granules are easily visible. Rather than go this route, the facility chose to contract Life Floor installation for a long-lasting, durable, and modular system that’s easy to clean and maintain. Backed by our 5-year material warranty, this project is sure to empower fun for years to come.
