AquaRABIA QIDDIYA CITY
Project Type: Waterpark + Splash Pad
Location: Qiddiya City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
One of our most custom projects yet
Aquarabia opened in Qiddiya City on April 23, 2026, as Saudi Arabia's first water theme park and the largest in the Middle East. The 25-hectare park has 22 rides and experiences across eight themed worlds, including four world-record attractions. Life Floor safety surfacing covers 26,601 square feet of wet decks, from slide run-outs to family play areas.
Instead of a standard pattern, the Aquarabia decks feature custom-cut rocks and native plants set into the surface in earthy Evergreen, Olive, Foghorn, and Sandbar. Our design team built cut files for every shape so the park's designers could place each piece exactly where they wanted. The result reads as part of the landscape around it rather than a floor laid on top of it.
“Aquarabia Qiddiya City is one of the most custom projects we have ever done, with symbols and iconography specific to the local landscape.”
Comfort and Safety in Every Zone
Aquarabia was years in the making; Life Floor's first shipment for the park left for Saudi Arabia in late 2022. As construction moved forward, WhiteWater's team identified more deck area that needed surfacing, so our designers added a new band of custom-cut rocks and plants around the perimeter of the main area. We cut and shipped that expansion in spring 2025, and installation began in March.
Every Life Floor area at Aquarabia is a wet deck with no standing water, the kind of surface guests cross barefoot all day long. Our cushioned, slip-resistant surface is NSF/ANSI/CAN 50 certified and gives guests of all ages and abilities better footing between rides, with a softer landing than concrete if someone does fall.
Training a New Installation Partner
Aquarabia was ARSA's first Life Floor installation, our partner in Saudi Arabia. A Life Floor installation trainer spent three weeks on site with ARSA's crew, working through surface prep, adhesive application, and placement. The project moved ARSA toward Life Floor installer certification and gives facilities across the Kingdom a trained local team for future projects.
2026 WWA Leading Edge Award Winner
The World Waterpark Association honored Aquarabia with a 2026 Leading Edge Award at the WWA Symposium & Trade Show. Life Floor is proud to have worked alongside WhiteWater, ARSA, and Falcon's Creative Group on the Middle East's largest water theme park.
