“The kids have interacted with it - the little toddlers, I’ve seen their parents even sitting on the floor with them, just because the floor is so comfortable. It gets really hot here, so the flooring is really cool. Everybody likes to step on the floor now.”
This 4,300 sq ft splash pad is one of the most popular areas for kids in the Surfside Waterpark. However, with all the running and excitement around the WhiteWater West play structure, the Courtyard by Marriott in Anaheim dealt with daily injury reports. In 2019, they approached Life Floor and partner WhiteWater West to upgrade their stained and deteriorating concrete with Life Floor’s comfortable slip-resistant surface and inlaid designs for kids to interact with.
In January 2020, Inside Edge installed the Life Floor design. This unique design included a custom hopscotch court, surfboards, and a fun Twister-like game with sea creature inlays. The rest of the install is based on the 301 High Tide pattern which allows kids to create their own way of play.
