At Life Floor, we're thrilled to launch the Sixth Annual Make a SPLASH! Grant Contest, our signature initiative empowering communities across the U.S. to transform pre-existing splash pads with Life Floor's industry-leading safety surfacing.
Taking place each year, our grant contest awards two grand prizes:
A Need‑Based Award for communities that demonstrate financial hardship
An Inclusive Design Award for facilities dedicated to accessibility and inclusion

Why THE Make A SPLASH! Grant Matters
For six consecutive years, this grant contest has been at the intersection of safety, inclusion, and community transformation. It enables organizations, such as municipal parks, JCCs, YMCAs, and other non‑profits, to reimagine their aquatic spaces through thoughtful design and surfacing. Past winners include facilities in Missouri, Georgia, New Mexico, Michigan, and Texas.

Need‑Based Award: Fayette Aquatic Center, Fayette, AL
A beloved community splash pad in need of safety upgrades replaced its aging concrete surface with slip-resistant, cushioned Life Floor tiles. Staff emphasized that "Safety has been, and always will be, the 'main thing' for our guests," and the grant has indeed breathed vibrant new life into their cherished facility.

Inclusive Design Award: Jewish Community Center (JCC), St. Louis, MO
The JCC empowers its diverse and inclusive community, including children who use mobility aids, by providing an accessible aquatic space. Staff expressed how the upgrade will free "kids… to play differently," and improve usage and safety for thousands of visitors each season.

How to Prepare Your Application
Interested in applying for the 2025 Make a SPLASH! Grants? Here's what you'll need:
Eligibility: Must be a municipality, JCC, YMCA, or other U.S. non‑profit with a pre‑existing splash pad.
Choose Your Grant: Apply either for the Need‑Based Award (demonstrate financial need) or the
Inclusive Design Award (show commitment to accessibility).
What to Submit:
Completed entry form (downloadable via Life Floor's contest page)
Site plan and 2‑3 photos of your splash pad
For Inclusive Design: evidence of ADA compliance or inclusive programming
Submission: Email to solutions@lifefloor.com or complete our digital application forms, Inclusive Design or Need-Based.
Review Process: Entries are vetted and finalists selected, winners announced in early December. Installation is scheduled for 2026 and beyond.
